A feature rich CRM at a value price, part of the wider Zoho ecosystem
Zoho CRM is the value contender that keeps showing up on shortlists because it does most of what Salesforce and HubSpot do for a fraction of the price. Zoho is a large privately held company with a suite of around fifty applications, and the CRM is the flagship. For a business weighing capability against cost, it is very hard to ignore.
The functionality per pound is the headline. Sales automation, workflow rules, a decent analytics engine, an AI assistant and strong customisation all arrive at tiers that undercut the incumbents, with Standard around twelve pounds per user, Professional around twenty, Enterprise around thirty five. A free edition for a few users covers a micro business.
Customisation is a real strength. Custom modules, fields, layouts and workflows let a business shape the CRM to its process rather than the reverse, and the Enterprise tier opens up serious automation and analytics that rivals reserve for their most expensive plans.
If you use other Zoho products the integration is seamless, and even standalone the app marketplace is large.
The breadth can overwhelm. Zoho gives you a great deal, and configuring it well takes more thought than a deliberately simple tool such as Capsule. A small team wanting to just start selling may find it more than they bargained for.
The upgrade path nudges toward Zoho One, the full suite bundle, and the sheer number of Zoho products can blur what you actually need.
Support on the lower tiers is lighter, and UK partner familiarity, while growing, is behind Salesforce and HubSpot.
Zoho offers UK and EU data centres and GDPR aligned handling, which matters for a CRM holding contact data. As a CRM it carries no HMRC obligations, and it integrates with UK accounting tools including its own Zoho Books, which does handle MTD. Prices exclude VAT and there is a free edition and a free trial.
Cost conscious UK businesses that want strong CRM capability and customisation without enterprise pricing, and anyone already inside the Zoho ecosystem. Teams that value simplicity over breadth should look at Capsule or Pipedrive.

The AI assistant and analytics arrive cheaper than rivals reserve them. Only real gripe is that the breadth takes real thought to configure well.
